☀️ Dishes to cook in the solar oven:
As in a traditional oven, you can cook all types of dishes and preparations.

- Tian Provençal
- Vegetable or potato gratin
- Sourdough bread
- Pastries
- Savory or sweet cake...
Marine gives you her essential recipe for gluten-free and dairy-free vegetable pie!
Ingredients :
- 2 small organic zucchini
- 1 nice organic eggplant
- 2 organic carrots
- Bacon or a punnet of bacon
- 1 gluten-free pie crust (preferably)
- 1 small brick of cream of rice (or oats)
- 1 egg
- Grated cheese of your preference
- Cherry tomatoes and arugula for decoration
Preparation :
1. Preheat the solar oven by installing it facing the sun.
2. Start preparing the pie by washing the vegetables and peeling the carrot and eggplant. No need to peel the zucchini if they are organic or from the garden!
3. Cut the vegetables into thin slices and brown them all together in a pan over low heat. The idea is to precook the vegetables in order to drain them of as much water as possible so that they do not release too much when cooking in the oven.
4. Add pieces of bacon or bacon with the vegetables. Reduce everything well.
5. Arrange the dough on a pie dish.
6. In a bowl, mix the whole egg well with the rice cream. Pour the mixture over the pie crust.
7. Add the vegetables, arranging them in a harmonious manner. Cover with cheese before baking in the solar oven for 1h30.
8. Once cooking is finished, decorate with cherry tomatoes and a few fresh rocket leaves!
☀️ How’s it going?
Quite simply, we put the pie in the oven. We add half the time recommended for the traditional oven to cook in the solar oven. For the tart which bakes in 1 hour, we add 30 minutes, for a total of 1 hour 30 minutes in the solar oven.
We remember to reorient the oven every hour or 2 hours to always maintain the temperature.
Be careful to use an oven mitt to remove the hot dish, because inside the tank, the temperature reaches 150°C!
And above all... good tasting! 🤤
